Fees

***We are not a bulk billing practice***

Anyone can book an appointment, with or without a referral.

Psychologist Emma endeavours to keep her session charge below that which is recommended by the Australian Psychological Society  ($311 per hour). A limited number of reduced-fee sessions are available on a sliding scale to ensure accessibility for those who may not otherwise be able to afford therapy. If this is something you may require please enquire.

Psychologist Emma's Fees as of 1st January 2025

Standard Consultation (50 Minutes)

  • Face-to-face: $290

  • Telehealth/Phone: $290

Extended Consultation (80 Minutes) (available only when clinically indicated and subject to availability)

  • Face-to-Face: $400

  • Telehealth/Phone: $400

Letters/Reports/Phone calls

  • Letters and reports attract a fee commensurate with the APS Recommended Fees (currently set at $311+GST per hour).

  • Phone calls which occur frequently, or are more than 10 minutes long will also attract the APS recommended fee, pro-rata.

  • There is no charge for standard Medicare reports which are considered a normal component of treatment.

Late Cancellation Fees

  • Due to the high demand for Psychology Services, we require 24 hours notice of cancellation (or, for Monday appointments, please let us know before close of business on Friday). Cancellations within 24 hours or missed appointments will incur the full session fee, as short-notice cancellations prevent the opportunity to offer the session to another client.

  • If you are cancelling your session due to being unwell, we can often accommodate a Telehealth session, as an alternative to cancelling your appointment.

  • Medicare and private health rebates can not be applied to cancellation/no show fees.

  • All cancellation fees must be paid prior to future appointments.

Psychologist Emma acknowledges the traditional owners of the land on which we work, the Yerongpan people of the Yuggera Nation, whose land was stolen nearly 250 years ago. We recognise their continuing connection to land, water and culture, and we pay our respects to their Elders, past, present and emerging. We also extend that respect to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and all other First Nations Peoples today.
